Kevin Edwards chose Building Interiors to design and deliver their brand-new building in Leeds. They are a fast paced, dynamic young company and wanted their office to reflect this. The brief was to accommodate quite a lot into a relatively small space: a co-working space, wellbeing area, conference and meeting spaces, bar, games area as well as the all-important workstations for up to 40 people. It was important to them that the building be a professional space which could also be used by staff to socialise and enjoy themselves.
We transformed the areas into exciting spaces that the staff couldn’t wait to use. Through clever design and space planning we created all the zones within the brief plus agile working areas, tea points, welfare facilities, bespoke focus pods and even a Lounge. This included fundamental works such as M&E, flooring, partitioning, lighting as well as bespoke joinery & furniture.
Before we started on site, we explained to the client exactly what we were going to provide and what we were not. We worked closely with them on the look and finish by showing & agreeing with them all the sample finishes, we kept them updated on a weekly basis. All these steps help keep the client engaged and part of the whole process. We had a ‘WOW’ moment the first time the clients saw the finished space.
