Having spent many years in one of Leeds older office buildings which had become cramped and lacked natural light, our brief was to create a modern, bright space which would satisfy both corporate client facing areas and a fresh, spacious open plan office and breakout areas for their staff. There was also a fixed cost to work within so our team worked hard with value engineering options to bring the scheme on budget without compromising the look and feel.
We spent a lot of time initially consulting with the client to understand how their business needed to work. We assessed their existing filing requirements and advised on a new, neater form of storage using built in storewall cupboards.
From this, our designers worked up a plan which included the requisite number of meeting rooms, workstations and social spaces. Once the plan was confirmed , we produced a series of 3D visuals to help the client understand how the finished scheme would look.
Whilst onsite our Project Manager Craig, and site supervisor Jordon kept in close contact with the client every step of the way. As often happens throughout a scheme, changes were requested and implemented throughout the duration without impeding the programme.
As a law firm, interiors are not our speciality and after over 40 years in the same premises, relocation seemed like a daunting prospect. What could have been a difficult and laborious relocation project turned out, with the help of Building Interiors, to be an interesting and exciting new venture.
From the outset Jo with her design flair, practical approach and hand-holding and James with his building experience and technical skills, inspired confidence and professionalism. They are both very experienced and listened carefully to our brief. The resulting design plan and vision was just right for needs of our practice.
The build went to plan and was pretty seamless too. Craig, their project manager, kept it all on track and the communication was good.
What the team has delivered is a fabulous office and client environment that staff feel proud to work in. We have a working space that is modern and eye-catching but with an edge of tradition.
The Building Interiors team delivered a project from start to finish that was on time, on budget and didn’t disappoint.
