Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) are a publicly owned procurement organisation who help public sector organisations such as schools, councils, emergency services and charities by providing resources that help them in the running of their businesses.

What the client was looking for?

The brief provided by YPO was to deliver a complete refurbishment of their reception area which, though good quality, had become outdated and failed to align with the organisation’s new corporate identity. As an area of high footfall and one of the first touchpoints for visitors, a key requirement of the project was that it was completed within a 4 week timeframe and reflected their modern, new identity. Building Interiors were invited to tender for the refurbishment and were selected to carry out the works. 

Scope of what was delivered?

In the first stage of the project, we consulted with the YPO to gain a clear understanding of the organisation’s identity, goals and requirements for their new reception area and also undertook surveys of the building conditions.

With the brief and requirements at the core, we then designed the layout, look and feel of their new reception area.

The project delivered:

  • Full strip out of their current ceiling, furniture and lighting
  • New suspended and feature plasterboard ceilings
  • New hard & soft flooring,
  • Bespoke reception desk and storage,
  • New lighting
  • New external doors

As a result of the work undertaken by Building Interiors, YPO were left with a striking a new reception area that reflected the professionalism and modernity of their new corporate identity. We ensured that the project met their brief requirements and was delivered within a 4 week timeframe minimising the impact on their day to day business practices.

YPO had the pleasure of working with Building Interiors during the refurbishment of their main reception area. The service we experienced was excellent from design through to installation. The project was managed professionally with our additional request and last-minute changes being of no issue to them. The work was carried out to a high standard always considering health and safety and minimising disruption to our business.
